Become a member
Our members are the backbone of the Strathmore Community Hub. It is our members who attend and vote on issues at our Annual General Meetings and Extraordinary General Meetings. They get to have their say and influence the direction the SCH takes, and they vote on who becomes a Trustee when these roles are due to be filled. If you want a say in the running of the SCH, you need to be a member. Members also receive emails from us (unless you opt out) detailing what's coming up, which keeps you in the loop.
Can I be a member and a Trustee or volunteer?
Yes you can, in fact being a member is essential for being a Trustee, and a volunteer member gets to help out in the organisation they are a voting member of. The only thing members can't do is be a paid SCH employee, and vice versa.
What else do members do and are there any benefits?
If you want to be a member we'd hope you would come and help us out – volunteering, maybe help with a one-off event or some fundraising. By helping us you're helping the SCH become a more integral part of the Coupar Angus community, and helping to achieve our aims of reducing social isolation and increasing people's health.
If you want more, we encourage members to use our Atrium space while we're open. Just speak to us about what you'd like to do, and if we can accommodate you, then we will.
